Refugee Week is an annual UK-wide festival of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrate diversity and raise awareness of refugee issues. In Scotland a unique programme of events is coordinated by Scottish Refugee Council which attended by over 20,000 people each year.
During the week an exciting variety of events are organised by lots of different organisations including arts and community organisations, schools and charities. There is something for everyone…film screenings, theatre, music, dance, seminars, sport, carnivals, cultural celebrations, and much more.
Refugee Week 2010 will take place from 14th – 20th June. Anyone can get involved, by organising or attending an event, or just by spreading the word!
